The H word

So I believe this blog has been long expected of me. I'm here to speak on the infamous "H" word. Homogeneous? Homosapiens? Or Homosexuals? Ah yes, we are here to speak on the politically correct term of a type (category, culture, group, etc.) people that live their lifestyles with same sex partners. This topic is nothing new, but I felt it a need for me to write about my feelings on this. I'd like to think of myself as a strong-minded individual when it comes to conversations of this matter. So my words on this will, as usual, be very liberal and, while I try to stay as close to objective as I can, opinionated. If you are not as tolerant as you may know I am, then I advice you to not read on anymore. No. Forget that, I dare you to read on. Maybe Ignorance will be capable of learning something.
I am going to first just state that I am utterly and remotely disgusted by all of the bullying against the homosexual community this year. It just breaks my heart, and I burst into angry tears every moment that I think about the injustice they endure. I am aware that the brutality and ridicules lgbt have faced has been going on for decades, but I guess I was just naive enough to believe that we were moving on as a people. It was only false hope, I guess, that there weren't as many intolerant human beings who feared difference and lashed out on any deference of tradition. My thing is, OK you don't agree with their lifestyle. So what? You're entitled to your own opinions and beliefs, but do you have to go so far as to point and laugh and bully someone about their sexuality? Is your life that boring and unfulfilled that you must bother someone who is minding their own business? I mean, so what if they're homosexual or transgendered? Why do you even give a damn?! It's their lives, they aren't impending on your life. You will still be breathing the same air rather they were homosexual or straight.
I understand that a lot of people disagree with the lgbt lifestyle because it goes against their religion. I get it. If I identified with any religion, I would say that my religion doesn't believe in that as well. Although, I believe (and you can take this as some philosophical bologna if you want) that the only reason Jehovah God didn't want us with the same sex is because he/she wants us to be "fruitful". We were made to make this world plentiful, and back then a woman and woman or a man and a man could not have children. Before I state my next theory as my next opinionated fact, I'm going to have to go research something in the Bible. But I would say that just as in the Old Testament we were not allowed to eat dairy and meat or pig even, in the New Testament there were changes (you aren't going to Hell for eating a cheeseburger). Why can't the same be said for the lgbt culture? There is new technology now. We can be in a same sex relationship and have children together now. Just as there is technology, now, that cooks a pig all the way through for you to eat, in which you could not do in biblical times.
I guess I'm so passionate about this topic in result from me belonging to this social group. Yes, I am among the lgbt. I'm bisexual. No, I didn't decide to become one either just because of the recent fad of it being "cool" to be gay. I've always looked at women; I believe women are the most beautiful and unique minded creatures. I used to think that maybe it was because of my being sexually abused by a woman as a child, but I've realized that it has nothing to do with it. I honestly believe that if that never happened to me, I would have still gone through my bi-curiosity. I remember looking at my uncle's nude magazines and sneaking to stare at the ladies' chest in there. I also remember in elementary, a group of girls and me made up this little club called the "G club". Yes, you can only guess that the "g" stood for gay. We would tell people it stood for God, if they asked. These girls and I would sneak off to the bathroom and do miscellaneous activities that we should have not known about at our age(but I would guess that we were all mentally disturbed and in bad homes). I also remember random instances throughout my adolescent age after that until my sophomore/junior year of high school when I came to the conclusion that I might like girls. It is only sad that I just realized a couple years ago that my sexuality had a twist in it. I tried to hide from it. There were times when I was grossed out about it and the females I messed around with during that time. I just knew it was "wrong", and that it would never be accepted. I am and will always be sexually attracted by women, but romantically moved by men. It is who I am, and I cannot change it. So I've come to terms with my bisexuality and I accept it. I embrace it. I love it.
In the end, the question is people why do you care about what people do in their bedroom and who they're holding hands with? You take advantage of and belittle the only things that the lgbt community can wish it had. You divorce when it only wants to marry and you neglect the beings that it can only wish to adopt. It's just like racism. You unjustly treat them inhumanly. We didn't choose to be lgbt, we are it. And that doesn't give anyone a right to treat us any less.

Fall Season

It wasn't in effect to me being slightly tinted
For in this day and time, all that matters is what family you were invented
It also wasn't because my baby blanket was pink instead of blue
What double x chromosome couldn't just show a little cleavage to get on top, it's true
No, it wasn't from those causations
But simply following Life's tribulations
So as I sat and wiped the tears of my peers' insignificance
I imprinted a permanent smile on my presence
The bow of their shoulders from a mistake in relationships
I ignore the knot in my neck from the couch's, I sleep on, marksmanship
Then hug those who find depression in the boredom of their lives
In the meanwhile, I attempt to forget about my absent family through trials
I listen as they vent about injustice roaming in their professional and personal distributions
At the same time I'm wondering how will I pay off my financial resolutions
No, there is no place for me to go but to be strong
It had no meaning but the cards that I was dealt
And since I'm illiterate in the game of tunk, I stare lost and alone
Just once if I could purchase a mentality break
In turn, I'm stuck with being stuck and fighting for my sanity's sake
So as the next line stays recluse in my mind, I'll end this
'Til then when I can check these off my list
And add perfect bliss

College, Smollege

So I've moved my raving opinion to something that most think is inevitable: college. Ew...
The American Dream used to be made of the white-picket fenced home
with the white collar husband who is happily wed to his housewife,
and the two offspring who will be nothing but a replica of themselves.
"The American Dream" now consists of your whole family graduating from college and being some type of doctor or lawyer. That's all nice and motivating until you're 40 years old just getting out of grad school and still paying off thousands of loans and you've just figured out that you really don't like that career. So what do you do then?
I've always believed in doing what makes one happy and what one is passionate about. So oh well, if one's dream doesn't pay well. And who cares if what one really wants doesn't seem to agree with what one's family wants?
Honestly, can someone please explain to me the real need to go to college? I understand that if someone really does want to become a doctor or a lawyer or a teacher; then hey do what you must. But what if what you want to do with your life doesn't necessarily need the facetious "teachings" of professors? Too many parents and grandparents down the hopes and dreams of children when they want to be that next superstar. Being the next Tyra Banks, T.O, Picasso, Shakespeare, Hayley Willliams, or Lil' Wayne is far fetched, but why not go for it? I believe that if you have the determination and the will, you can be whatever you want to be as long as you have the potential. Now, I'm not saying that if you can't hit a C#, or sing in the right key that you should send your demo in thinking your Whitney Houston or something. But if you really believe and know that you're great at what you do then go for it.
People who might refute my very liberal opinion, argue that you must stick to "reality". "What if you don't make it?" they say. I say flick them off and tell them to back off. (Just joking) But really, don't you think they should be supportive instead of negative? I agree that you should have a back-up plan. I mean don't be a bum sitting around doing nothing with your life but "trying to make it" and you've seen no progress. At least have a job or career, even if it's "blue collar", but never give up on your dreams. With their argument, I just don't understand the need to go to college just for a back-up plan. I mean how is working and stressing your life for something you don't even like rational? I believe that Happiness is more important than Money. Call me a hippie if you want. Getting that job isn't going to be worth it if you're going to be unhappy with that big paycheck.
What if you don't make it or get the job you were searching for? You just wasted more than $200,000. Most people don't even work in the area that they majored in. This is the era of hard times. Graduates with masters in business are managers of McDonald's. So you've just wasted money getting to a position that you didn't even need to graduate from high school to attain.
Getting a degree is that useless American Dream I was talking about earlier. People just want to have that name, that status, the ability to say they have a degree or their PHD or their masters. Ok, you have that. Now what are you going to do with that degree? Graduating from grad school doesn't guarantee you a spot in the money making careers.
So yea, I know I've been a little long-winded. So I'm going to wrap this rant up. But seriously people, don't be close-minded about this. I know society has programmed us to think that we need to go to college to do something with our lives. Do you really need to pay a professor to tell you what the hell a book says? I mean, you do know how to read right? You can do all of that on your own.

MaryJuwana

Hmmm......Marijuana, Weed, Joints, Grass, Cannabis, Mary Jane, Dope, Ganja, Pot, Dooby, or Green....whatever you want to call it, the epidemic of weed has taken over in this day and time.

Marijuana is what's "it" now. "All of the cool kids are doing it." I can honestly say that maybe out of 10 people there will be 7 that have either tried or casually smoke weed. People have taken what can be used as a medical remedy and turned it into a addictive, illegal narcotic. While I am not here to argue about the why's and how's of marijuana not being legal; especially with alcohol having worse effects and it's legal; I am here to wonder, not argue, about the effects of this popular elixir.
I'm not going to down marijuana, I am, as I promised I would, keeping an open mind to this topic. I'm not going to say marijuana is bad, bad, bad for you, but I'm also not going to say that just because it grows from the ground that it is an excusable hobby for you to pick up. Like I said earlier, there are far worst drugs that leave people scrambling for their jobs, family, and sanity. Though, I cannot help but notice that marijuana does have an effect on people.
So I've finally gotten to the point. I am beyond curious as to what exactly in this well-known but mysterious drug has the ability to change people as much as it does. I am positive that I am not alone in this reverie. Every person I know who never smoked and picked up the habit has done a complete 360. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Those people who have a different group of friends now. Those people who can't focus or keep their attention on one single thing for a long period of time. Those people who dress and speak differently now. Those people whose eyes stay drooped and red. Those people who listen to a different type of music now. And those people who are steadily looking for their next moment to put that herb to their lips.
With all of that said, I know I have you wondering the same thing. So I will be (with the help of my boyfriend) doing my own little independent study and research on this topic. We will be reading books and articles. We will be interviewing people. We will be recording the actions of those who do this infectious hobby, etc. I have written this post to introduce my "mission". As I proceed with my research, I will update you on my actions and findings.
'Til then.....

Project For The VirtuoSouls

This is a little project I decided to do a while ago for my boyfriend's group. I wrote stanzas or whatever you want to call them, describing each of their personalities and rap styles. They liked them, so I hope you guys like them as well.

Jestering personalities in result of dissociative identity
His words complex and scintillating with borderline insanity
He's a lyrical Einstein
Bound to go over your head with metaphorical allusions
Your face's gone purple, why so serious?
He's the te quiero meat Johnny Quest
Giving you those costumed conscious illusions
-------------------------------------------------------------

He's music's companion, I mean rhythm's co-mate
Accomplice to A Production Called J
His sonance instinctive
With semantics intellectual
Patterns and sonic influential
Just saying his timbre is effective
The feel of a hill reFugee fugitive
Not a D, nor Beatz of Swizz
He's not fancy
More like Yancey
--------------------------------------------------------------

Censorship please
Because monsieur malevolent will not cease
He's a complete bliss, a face with two x's as eyes
Each stanza you cannot despise
For his prose goes beyond his alias
Esquire appeal is no longer confined, contracted, or limited
But released and permitted
So he leaves you with a f at a pound sign k
-------------------------------------------------------------

Flo-tilla hotter than Dante's blaze
Hard to walk into this courier's everlasting flame
Harmony's cadet sending symphonic iambics
The best, flow favorable and to the greatest degree
I'm just saying he's optimal
Magnus, style broad, and decree extensive
I'm just saying he's maximus
He's the beginning of every good relevance
The prepared expression to the highest eminence
In other words, he's Prime
---------------------------------------------------------------

Too tangible for mainstream
His authencity is too intrinsic for average commercial
The Alchemist, the Fly, the Inconceivable
No need to whisper your meaning
For he's going to give you his words with Samuel Jackson speaking
Well-rounded, giving you productions and karma that are looped, encircling
Incredible, relaxing, hitting indisputably like his herbal therapy
Why don't you practice this lyrical magician's remedy?

She Walks On....

She Walks On…
Glancing back over her shoulder
There they are
Disgruntled, yet smiling
Pausing, She takes the time to think
To Reminisce, to Wonder
Then…
She is confirmed
By the shakes of their heads
The folding of their arms
The disapproval on their faces
Shunned without the verbal declaration
So She Walks On…
Dreams, aspirations, goals She has
But brick after brick of
 Unsupportive misery She comes across
Her light maintains a flicker
They continue to send wisps of brutal air her way
But She still tries
She tries to lift her head
To smile at frowns
To live for Life
Her life
With a silent smirk on her face,
She turns around to look ahead
And She Persists to Walk On…..

They’ll See.

Why Hip Hop Is Dead

Follow-up to my previous post....I'm not the only one who shares the opinion about modern day music.

R.I.P Music

Unfortunately,
It has come to my attention that there is a death in our world.
And that death, my dear people, would be the death of music. Yes, you read this correctly.
Music has taken a very sad dive into the land of Horribleness. When I first realized this, I made the very closed-minded assumption that Hip-Hop, RnB, and Soul (or in other words "black" music) were the only genres to take this stab in the heart. Though as I think of it, ALL genres of music have taken the jump off of the bridge. Music, today, is nothing but an occupation full of workers who need no type of intelligence or originality or skill. I bet you're telling me to back up my opinions on this bold statement. Fear not!
Fact1: there are no real musicians anymore. Everything is made on the computer. Beats are filled with synthesizers and reused loops from different programs such as Fruity Loops. Everyone bites off of each other. We use the same lines/lyrics, same samples, same ad-libs, etc. What happened to the real artists that played actual instruments in their recordings?! Such as Prince, Nirvana, and Michael Jackson!!!
Fact2: music artists now are either potential geniuses who have dumbed themselves down to please the crowd and get more sales, or they are illiterate people who have cheated their way up the billboards. Drake; despite what people think, Drake is a good lyricist. He may not be a "conscious" rapper, but he knows how to form words artistically and have meaning to his words, but he's decided to suck (excuse my language) Lil' Wayne's penis. Young Money has brought him down. But hey, if that's how he's going to make his money, more power to him I guess. Then there's this whole Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy, Wacka Flocka Flame, OJ Da Juiceman, Lil B movement. Those people, in my honest opinion, should just get shot. And people seriously think that these "artists" are good. Shaking my damn head. They have no type of meaning to their music. They make no sense at all when they rap. Their raps consist of nothing but blabber, chants, and insignificant ad-libs. Please stop this.
Fact3: well-known, exceptional artists have decided to move with the times, or bite off artists that appear to be making it big in this day and time, or associate themselves with crowd pleasers. For example, Christina Aguilera. Who told her she can off and go and be a Lady Gaga wannabe?! Christina has maybe the strongest voice out. I understand Lady Gaga is like the new "Pop Queen", but no. This does not work for Christina, and I think she has understood this with her failure. Then there's this new and improved Erykah Badu. Yes, she is still weird, but her music doesn't sound anything like it used to. She's doing songs with Lil' Wayne and Rick Ross. She says she's doing her style of music with the new age. No, this will not work. Ah...Andre 3000. My guy. He is disappointedly associating himself with losers such as Jeezy, Jay Z, and Chris Brown. Sigh.....Just to please the crowd. Why?
Fact4: genres have transformed. Country isn't "twain" anymore. Like seriously, can you call Taylor Swift a real country artist? RnB has turned into a semi-pop/techno thing. Rap or Hip-Hop is just hard beats and club bangers for people to dance to and sing along to. What happened to Avril Lavigne? Can you say hard rocker chick to bubble gum popper much?!
Honestly, with all of this people, I can become a music artist. All I need is a sweet "dance" that consists of me twisting one of my limbs, and a catchy saying that I can shout throughout my whole song. I would not like to give up on music, but this era is seriously pushing me to the edge. In the end, it's stay true to yourself, your art...money isn't everything people. Maybe someone or some people can change my mind or make me fall in love with music once again. 'Til then...R.I.P Music

Hola

Hey everyone!

Um...I'm a first time blogger. So welcome! I will be filling your eyes with lots and lots of poems, short stories, and discussions. I love to write and give my opinion on things. So this is perfect for me. Sorry if a lot of my stuff sounds random and liberal. I am not a conservative. Therefore, I will try to stay very open-minded. Welp, that's pretty much all I have to say for my first post. Stay tuned for many more.....

:-)
